Create a Custom Theme
To start off by creating a custom theme, click on the Create a Custom Theme button.
This will then open the window you see below.
There are six main components to the Custom Theme Editor.
- Set Theme Name: Type in the box what you want to name this theme
- Upload Custom Image: Click this button to upload an image of your choice to use as the background image of your theme
- Edit your Font Style: Select a font that you would like to be the default across the whole site
- Change colors and other elements: Here is a main window that contains options 5 and 6. This is a preview of what your theme will look like.
- Edit Primary Color & Edit Accent Color: Here you can select a primary and accent color to base your site off of. In the following images you will see what options you have in more detail to edit colors.
- Preview window: Here you can hover over different elements on the screen and you will see a red circle with a pencil edit icon. If you click on the edit icon, you can change the color of that specific element. Below you will see the pop-up window that will appear to edit specific colors.
You have the ability to change/choose colors based on a few different of types:
- Hex Code
- RGB Codes
- Palette (these colors are based off of your primary and accent colors selected)
You also can have the lightness, transparency, and vibrancy of the color chosen. Once you have made the changes you like, click Update to save.
