Create a State Machine View
Before you create a State Machine view you will need to ensure that the State Machine Feature has been activated in the Feature Settings as shown below.
Create the View:
- Go to the View Editor in the drop-down menu under your name in the top right corner.
- Type in "State Machine Editor" in the Name field, and click Save.
- Under that section click New Window under the Windows heading.
- In the Name field, type in "State Machines" and click Save.
- Repeat the step above three more times creating windows with the following names:
- State Machine Editor
- Details
- State Machine Details
- At this point, you should have four windows. Resize and move them so that they look like the screenshot below.
Linking the Windows:
- Now that we have the windows set up, we need to link the windows to display the correct information.
- Start by opening up the View Editor. Notice you will see the four windows you have created listed.
- Click on the first window State Machines.
- Create a new Section called Machine Master.
- Open up the section you just created.
- Change the settings to look like the following:
- Once your Section Editor looks like the image above, click Save.
- Repeat the previous steps with the following windows, sections and settings.
- Click on the window State Machine Editor and create a new section called Feature State Machine.
- After creating the section, click on it to edit the settings to mimic what is shown below (Please note colors do not have to be exactly as shown in the image, choose what colors work for your site).
- Once your Section Editor looks like the image above, click Save.
- Click on the window Details and create two new sections. One called Details, the other, Positions.
- After creating each section, click on the Details section to edit the settings to mimic what is shown below.
- Click Save to keep the changes made to the Details section.
- Click on the Positions section to edit the settings to mimic what is shown below.
- Click Save to keep the changes made to the Positions section.
- Click on the window State Machine Details and create a new section called State Machine Detail.
- After creating the section, click on it to edit the settings to mimic what is shown below.
- Click Save to keep the changes made to the section.
- Once you have made all these changes in the View Editor, you're State Machine View should be ready to create State Machine Processes.
