6. Feature

Features are a great way to add other ways to display and organize information to the user on the front-end. You can access features here on the View Editor, but you will need to activate them first through the Feature Manager on the System Admin side. Here, you will see how to access a feature in the View Editor. Review the Features course to view more details about the specifics of features.

  1. Start by selecting Feature as the type.
  2. Click Save to ensure the correct fields are displayed for the Feature type.
  3. You will see a new field appear under Type called Feature.
  4. Here you will have more options that appear in this drop-down menu. Below are the most commonly used options you will use and see.
    • Data View
    • State Machine
    • Call Center
  5. Once you select your Feature Option you will then need to click Save.
  6. After clicking Save, you should see a new field appear in the top right of the window called View Type.
  7. Depending on what you select, more fields will appear with more options. These specific options will be reviewed in the Features course. You may need to keep clicking Save each time you select an option in a field to refresh to see new fields or options appear.
